Program Note:

Starting in 2020, I made it a habit to enclose tiny snippets of music in handwritten letters to friends; small musical mementos that I thought captured something of them in notes. This piece takes one such snippet and expands it into a miniature reflecting on distance, community, and wishing you had time to say more before someone leaves.
